By transposing these randomly, chaotically dispersed objects – leftovers from some industrial facility - from their “natural” urban resting place and reestablishing, aesthetically, the arrangement as it was first observed, a chapter has been added to their histories as commoditized objects. Their lifespans have been extended from the useful, to the discarded, and now to the repurposed. The matter and mass that they are, and that they represent, hasn’t changed. Yet their perceived value may have, as they enter an aestheticized environment. The video depicting the area of discovery marks this moment in time. The history at this place led directly to the opportunity to find elements of this installation
