Decatur Street & Bradley Street,
Atlanta, 2004 By transposing these randomly, chaotically dispersed
objects – leftovers from some industrial facility - from their
“natural” urban resting place and reestablishing, aesthetically,
the arrangement as it was first observed, a chapter has been added to
their histories as commoditized objects. Their lifespans have been extended
from the useful, to the discarded, and now to the repurposed. The matter
and mass that they are, and that they represent, hasn’t changed.
Yet their perceived value may have, as they enter an aestheticized environment.
The video depicting the area of discovery marks this moment in time.
The history at this place led directly to the opportunity to find elements
