Marcia Wood, owner Marcia Wood Gallery, Sending notifications to my email list was really cumbersome and time consuming and I didn’t know if they were even getting through. Stan is good with technical things and I’m not; he suggested trying MailChimp to manage my mass emails. He got things set up for me and taught me how to use the system. The effort to send my monthly notifications has been cut by two thirds and I can devote that time to other things. He added a form to my web site so people sign themselves up and I love getting the email notifications every time someone does. If everything could be improved like that life would be so much better! He helped me a lot. marciawoodgallery.com |

Hormuz Minina, artist, The installations I have worked on as an artist have taken years of thought and development. Having it all culminate into one not-to-be repeated exhibition requires a level of adaptability from everyone involved. Stan Woodard gets what is being presented and shapes messages that work.
A recent project called "Promontory" took place off the beaten path on the Beltline and was not easily accessable. Maps, personal calls to journalists and an excellent social media coordination got the exhibition acclaim in press reviews and as a best of Atlanta for the year. The overall awareness of the project Stan created helps to make it last far longer than the one day event it was. minina.org |

Mary-Elizabeth Harmon, computer user I really wanted hand holding on the very basics of getting a blog up and running. But I've had enough experience with people rolling their eyes at my computer questions that I was a little nervous finding someone. What luck that I worked with Stan. He made me comfortable enough to ask what I needed and to tinker on my own. More importantly, I'm ready to make my web debut after just one session. I'll be calling him for a more advanced session as I get more proficient, and to talk more about what I can do to manage things as my blog and other web-based efforts grow. |

Firam Diels, computer user When I got my first computer, I knew I needed instruction in ways to make the best possible use of it. As with many other casual computer users, I wanted to be able to use basic applications and to navigate the Internet with ease. I consulted Stan Woodard, warning him that it was likely that I would need to ask many questions along the way. That actually turned out not to be the case, since he anticipated many of the questions I would have asked and provided much more in-depth information than I would have known to elicit. Stan was able to explain in clear and direct language many aspects of computer use which I had found baffling, and was unfailingly patient with me. In addition to basic lessons, I learned many useful keyboard shortcuts as well as how to search for answers using many different techniques. My favorite aspect of Stan's teaching method was his ability to put me at ease when I was feeling tense, frustrated, or just stupid, and I never was made to feel that teaching me might just be a hopeless endeavor.
As a result, I now feel confident to tackle almost anything on the computer and take great pride in using the tools he taught me to do research on many subjects, including how to solve some fairly complicated problems. I have also been able to pass along much of what I learned under his tutelage to friends and family members who have not been so fortunate to find a "Stan" to aid them with their computer challenges and issues. Finally, I must say that even now Stan is there for me whenever something tricky comes up that is computer-related; he has a generous spirit as well as a deep and heartfelt desire to help in any way he can, truly the hallmark of a fine teacher. |

Susan Todd-Raque, Fine Art Photogaphy Consultant When I first thought about having a website, a friend of mine talked me into letting him do a simple one for me. Simple one... Not really, as it turned out. Even though It was always my intention to be able to maintain the smaller elements, I had to learn Dreamweaver to do so, which was not easy. My friend, like many website designers I have learned since then, loves to design but maintaining or following up is not what interests them anymore.
So, I had major problems and put out a "please help me" to an artist listserve I am on. Stan answered my plea for help, and he was amazing. He came over, figured out what was needed, cleaned it all up, and his charge was absolutely reasonable. Now when I have problems, he can help me via the internet and I always know he is there whenever I get frustrated.
Stan is the man to help with your website problems! susantodd-raque.com |
